Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 3, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 26 times against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including firing 1 time on Luhansk direction, 15 times on Donetsk direction and 10 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers violated ceasefire regime by shelling upon Ukrainian troops positions in Novozvanivka with the use of grenade launchers;
(3) Donetsk direction: Avdiivka industrial area and Butovka mine reported as the hottest spots on this direction as the enemy systematically opened fire with grenade launchers and small arms upon Ukrainian positions there; north suburbs of Horlivka became another hot spot on this direction, where Russian forces used small arms against Ukrainian troops;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian proxies used grenade launchers in Talakyvka and small arms in Hnutove, Talakivka, Vodyane and Shyrokino;
(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day.
