Trade unions house and Euromaidan HQ set on fire

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Trade Unions Building was the Euromaidan HQ and protesters first aid station were located, caught fire during one of the attacks by riot police Berkut on 18th February. Many activists got trapped in the upper stories. Even though riot police had a water jet, they chose not to rescue people out of fire, but to pour water at the Maidan defenders. It was only several hours after that firemen managed to reach Euromaidan. They managed to rescue over 30 people out of the burning building.
