Russia wanted to replace me with Medvedchuk, – Zelenskyy revealed the ultimatums during the negotiations in Turkey
Russia wanted to replace Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with pro-Russian politician and traitor Viktor Medvedchuk.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement during a meeting with representatives of the International Media Council in Davos, reports Censor.NET.
“There were no real negotiations in Turkey because I am the president, the negotiator, and on the Russian side, the negotiator is Putin. So, I never met with Putin in Turkey,” Zelenskyy said.
He also noted that Russia presented Ukraine with a series of ultimatums on three occasions: during the first days of the invasion and later in Turkey.
“They said I had to step down, they would replace me with the pro-Russian Medvedchuk. So, I would no longer be president. For me, this isn’t an issue – our people will vote. I mean, this isn’t my goal. They claimed all of Donbas is Russia, and we must recognize that. Then we have to recognize the Russian language, vote to amend our Constitution to adopt neutral status, and reduce our military to 50,000 troops. After that, we must surrender all weapons, including artillery, destroy everything within 20 kilometers, and hand it over to them. So, there were never any real negotiations – this was an ultimatum from a murderer,” Zelenskyy asserted.
