Trump: I’ll buy and annex everything! Or nothing

The first shock has passed, and the world is starting to get used to the wonders of big politics. It’s becoming a good tradition: Putin is being told to go to hell almost every day – Zelensky started it, and Johnson continued it. Now, “Leaders of Greenland have expressed their readiness to discuss joining the USA with Trump – The New York Post.” This is just the beginning: Trump Jr. has only delivered blazers to the island, and the Greenlanders are already ready for anything. As for Russia, in such a case, it should start preparing to abandon the idea of a full-fledged Great Northern Route. And the wet dreams of a “domestic Arctic Ocean” can also be left in the Kremlin’s trash can. If Trump makes a deal with Canada, then it will only take one day by reindeer to get to Greenland.

Do you think Panama will be different? If another Trump relative visits there, then the scratching of heads will have to happen not in Moscow, but in Beijing. After that, they can forget about China’s influence in the Caribbean. And what will those significant Chinese investments in the region be worth then? No one is laughing at Trump’s antics anymore, and some are even mourning.

But for some reason, it seems that Trump won’t be buying or annexing anything. We are simply witnessing the preparation for the Trump-Putin meeting, which both sides have agreed to. It was said: “End the war in Ukraine” – which means it will end. Then, the Russians will have a chance to preserve their enormous investments in the North, and the Chinese – in Panama and the surrounding areas. Of course, there’s something to negotiate about. It’s interesting: will Putin fly urgently to Beijing, or will a telegram with instructions from Uncle Xi be enough? Will Putin wait until, as per his well-known nickname, Trump surrounds him with a**holes?

How ruthless is this great politics!
