Tatarov’s influence: undermining Ukraine’s war effort

In the “Chechen-Tatarov” story, two people whom I greatly respect attempted to explain or justify Zelensky’s irritation.

One wrote that journalists should be far more interested in the war than in Tatarov. The other argued that for the government, Tatarov is a smart manager who knows how to control large processes.

I repeat, I have great respect for both of these individuals, so I will try to explain the issue using arguments that might resonate with them.

So, Tatarov “controls large processes” at customs and the tax service. The corruption in these institutions costs Ukraine 100 billion hryvnias annually.

100 billion is the equivalent of EIGHTY massive long-range drone attacks on enemy territory. EIGHTY (according to calculations by Yuriy Nikolov).

That’s TWO massive attacks per week for nine months.

For example, one of the recent such attacks targeted two enemy oil depots and the artillery depot of an entire military grouping.

I hope the figures above clearly demonstrate how the president’s protection of Tatarov undermines Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
