Russians attacked the Sudzha gas metering station

Yevheniya Kutnova: I propose we start our conversation with the events taking place in the Kursk region, specifically in Sudzha. The Russian Federation, in particular, accuses the defense forces of shelling the Sudzha gas metering station. However, our General Staff states that these accusations are baseless. They point out that last summer, the station had already been bombed with guided aerial bombs, and three days ago, the Russians struck it again with KAB bombs.

Roman Hryhorovych, in your opinion, what can be said about this situation today? Can this truly be considered a provocation by the Russians? Did Putin blow up Sudzha to disrupt Trump’s ceasefire? Can we put it that way, or not?

Roman Svitan: If I had the opportunity, I would have blown it up myself. If I were younger, I would have blown it up back in 2014.

But speaking of reality, right now we are discussing certain technical actions as such. The optimal approach is to talk about the importance of specific actions, regardless of who carried them out in this case. The fact is, there shouldn’t have been a Sudzha. There shouldn’t be this pipeline.

What is a gas pipeline? It’s a system for transporting gas. For instance, the Russians were using this pipeline to pump gas through Ukraine to Europe—about 15 billion cubic meters per year. That’s roughly around $5 billion, give or take, depending on the price and transit fees. But no matter how you calculate it, it’s still billions of dollars flowing into the Russian economy. And what were those billions used for? To buy North Korean shells, for example—the very same shells that later killed our guys and destroyed our homes.

Take Kharkiv, for instance—when it gets shelled by North Korean KN-23 missiles, where do you think those shells come from? Russia buys them. And where does Russia get the foreign currency to purchase them? From this gas pipeline.

That’s why it should have been destroyed as soon as the opportunity arose—immediately, without hesitation. Why wasn’t it destroyed earlier? That’s a question specifically for Syrskyi, for the military responsible for that pipeline. Even just for any soldier stationed near it.

Any soldier could have walked up to that pipeline, looked at it, and understood: on one side, gas is flowing, and on the other, dollars are flowing into Russia. And with those dollars, Russia buys North Korean shells or bullets that then hit that very same soldier in the chest. What’s so hard to understand about this? Do you need to be a genius to realize that this pipeline should have been destroyed long ago? When else should it have been done?

Now, another point: the fact that someone finally destroyed it—let’s say “concerned individuals” took care of it. Whether they were Russian, Ukrainian, or someone else—doesn’t matter. That pipeline is gone, and that’s exactly where it belonged. It should never have existed in the first place.

And we shouldn’t be enabling Russia to restore its cash flow. This isn’t about gas or the pipeline itself—it’s about the flow of dollars into the Russian economy.

Nearby, there’s another pipeline near Unecha—the Druzhba oil pipeline. It pumps 300,000 barrels per day. That means $18 million per day flows into Russia’s treasury from that pipeline. That’s $6.5 billion per year. Now imagine how many shells, how many Ukrainian lives are lost simply because this pipeline is still operating—just 40 kilometers from the northern border. And it’s still pumping.

And then, half of that oil—we pump it ourselves, from Mozyr through Ukraine. Who is it for? Orban. Again, billions of dollars flow from Orban to Putin for that oil. And at the same time, he acts up—blocking us from the EU, refusing to impose sanctions, or obstructing financial transactions in our favor.

So, who would call us smart? Certainly not us, not Ukrainians. We understand that it’s those green crooks sitting on Bankova who are behind all this. It’s not just a coincidence that they keep pumping oil to Orban. They know full well that Russia is receiving foreign currency from it.

That’s why it’s only a matter of time before all of this blows up. It doesn’t matter who does it. Even if it was the Muscovites themselves who destroyed Sudzha—so be it. The same goes for Nord Stream. Two pipelines through which gas flowed, and in return, Russia received what? Hard currency, which it then used to buy KN-23 missiles, North Korean weapons, Iranian and Chinese equipment, and so on.

That is, all of this must be destroyed in the course of hostilities. Otherwise it is not a war, it is just killing Ukrainians. If you do not fight with all possible methods, it is just a specific killing of Ukrainians for the 11th year. Because, let’s be honest, the army is mostly made up of Ukrainians. The Israeli elites we have in power—well, they make sure not to crawl too close to the front line. But it’s Ukrainians who are dying.

For eleven years now, this has been happening—genocide, in its purest form. Why? Because it was started by Turchynov and Poroshenko, and now it’s being finished by Zelensky and the rest of them. This entire pack of green lackeys is executing these plans and trying to keep them going.
