A quarter lost: implications of the Kursk operation for Russian Forces

The blue duct tape is running out. No, this is not a joke. Soon, there might be fundraising for duct tape…

In less than two weeks of the Kursk operation, more than 2,000 prisoners (rumor has it that it’s over 2,500 bodies). Mostly conscripts.

To put things into perspective, the entire Kursk group amounted to up to 10,000 bodies. So, a quarter of the group has been lost just to captivity. It’s hard to say what the situation is with the killed and wounded. More or less reliable information is only available about the prisoners so far. At the same time, during the second week of the operation, it is still the conscripts who continue to be captured. That means, despite everything that’s happening, they haven’t been moved to the rear area of the military zone. And that’s very good, not just because it clearly points to a resource crisis in the Russian Armed Forces…

These are very good news for our guys and girls, whom we’ve been waiting for at home and who are suffering in Russian captivity.

Today, hundreds and thousands of surrendering Russian conscripts; tomorrow, hundreds and thousands of our heroes and heroines returning home.
