Zelensky criticized partners: so far, only Belarus has distinguished itself by shooting down Russian “Shaheds”

“If allies are jointly shooting down missiles and drones in the skies over the Middle East, then why is there still no similar solution for the joint downing of Russian missiles and Iranian ‘Shaheds’ in the skies over Ukraine? Moreover, this is not being done even when the missiles and drones are literally heading towards the territory of our neighbors.

And when we raise this issue with our partners — and we do so constantly, by the way — everyone, honestly, just tries to avoid it. They are even afraid to say, ‘We are working on it.’ They are scared to say even that. And this is the truth.

So far, only Belarus has managed to down Russian ‘Shaheds.’ I didn’t think it would happen in this way… I truly believe this is simply humiliating for the strong democratic world,” stated Volodymyr Zelensky.

Let us remind you that on the night of September 5, during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine, at least 8 Russian “Shahed” drones entered Belarusian airspace. In response, the Belarusian air force launched its fighter jets from the Baranovichi airfield and shot down at least one “Shahed.”
