Ukraine has certified its first drone operator school

The Ministry of Defense has officially granted a license to a private drone operator school for the first time. Kyiv-based Global Drone Academy received it through a simplified procedure.

The academy will train both military personnel and civilians in drone operation and will also provide graduates with a relevant military occupational specialty. The certified school has been operating since 2022 and has trained over 3,700 drone operators. Among its graduates are members of the Special Operations Forces (SOF), the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
