On the night of January 22, Russia launched a series of attacks on Ukrainian cities using “Shahed” drones. In several regions, there were hits and debris falling, which resulted in destruction and injuries to civilians.

Russia launched chaotic attacks on various parts of our country, with UAVs even reaching western regions. This was reported by 24 Kanal.

Consequences of the attack in the Mykolaiv region

Russian kamikaze drones attacked Mykolaiv, resulting in the destruction of buildings and injuries to civilians.

The top floor of an apartment building was partially destroyed. A fire on the sixth floor, covering an area of 100 square meters, was extinguished. During the rescue operation, 200 people were evacuated from the building.

The blast wave shattered window glass in four apartment buildings and one private residential building. Damage was also reported to doors and windows in a boat cooperative. A private house, an administrative building, and a car were also damaged. Fires caused by debris ignited garbage and dry grass over an area of 100 square meters. Six fires broke out at different locations due to falling debris, all of which have been extinguished.

A 74-year-old woman was injured in the Russian attack. She was hospitalized and is currently in critical condition. A 59-year-old man also suffered from an acute stress reaction. He received first aid but declined hospitalization.

According to Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych, several units of electric transport and vehicles from the structural divisions of the enterprise were damaged in Mykolaiv.

Significant damage was caused to new Dnipro trolleybuses, as well as special transport, including a cargo service car for the track service, the mayor added.

Fortunately, there were no casualties. Electric transport will continue operating on the city’s routes according to the schedule.

In Mykolaiv region, air defense forces shot down 9 Shahed drones during the attack.

What destruction the enemy caused in Sumy region

On the evening of January 21, Russian drones also struck the residential area of Sumy.

According to DSNS, as a result of the Russian attack, the upper floor of a two-story private residential building was partially destroyed. The rescuers managed to extinguish the fire in the building.

Unfortunately, three people sustained minor injuries and acute stress reactions. However, after receiving medical assistance, they refused hospitalization.

At the same time, the National Police reported that as a result of the attack, there are five injured people in Sumy region, one of them being a five-year-old child. They also added that 25 private houses and a business facility were damaged.

It is also known that during the night, air defense forces in Sumy region shot down 14 enemy “Shaheds.”

Kyiv region was also in the crosshairs

On the night of January 22, Kyiv region was also attacked by “Shahed” drones. The head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported that as a result of the attack, there were no casualties among the population. No critical infrastructure or residential buildings were hit.

Due to the falling debris from the downed enemy targets, a house in one of the settlements was partially destroyed, and four others were damaged. Windows were shattered, facades were shredded, and roofs were damaged, he notes.

He also mentions that in another settlement, the power line was damaged, but it was restored by morning.

What was the target of the attack in Dnipropetrovsk region

An enemy UAV entered the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region. The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration reported that a unit of the East Air Defense Forces destroyed one Russian drone.

It was loud in the Nikopol region. As a result of the Russian attack, there was destruction at one of the enterprises. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at the impact site.

After midnight, the aggressor targeted the area with heavy artillery, striking the Pokrovsk community. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.

Results of air defense work

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of January 22, 65 enemy UAVs were shot down, and 30 others failed to reach their targets. In total, the enemy used 99 strike drones and their imitators of various types from the following directions: Chauda – temporarily occupied Crimea, Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsk-Akhtarsk.

On the night of January 22, air defense forces in Khmelnytskyi region destroyed 3 enemy “Shahed” drones. There were no reports of destruction or casualties.

In Cherkasy region, it was loud in the Uman area. As a result of air defense actions, 9 “Shaheds” were destroyed. There were no casualties or damage.
