In Odesa, the number of dead and injured has increased: the state emergency service shared footage from the impact site

The Russians targeted civilians with ballistic missiles.

In Odesa, following the enemy strike carried out by the Russians on November 18, the number of fatalities has risen, as has the number of injured.

“The death toll from the missile strike on Odesa has increased to 10, including seven police officers, a medic, and two local residents. Our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased,” reported Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

The State Emergency Service added that 43 people have been injured, including four children aged 7, 10, and two aged 11. The young Ukrainians have been hospitalized in moderate condition. Two people were rescued.

The Air Force previously reported that a ballistic missile, an Iskander-M, had been shot down over the city, but it fell in a residential area. Unlike MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missiles, which detonate exclusively in the air, the 9M723 ballistic missile with a 450-kg explosive warhead detonates on the ground. Similar missiles were used by the Russians yesterday in Sumy and today in Odesa.

The explosions in Odesa occurred around noon. Russian media boasted about striking a dormitory housing military personnel. In reality, the missile hit the courtyard of a residential building, igniting a fire. A university building was also damaged.
