From Rus to Ukraine: The Restoration of History

Muscovy takes the name “Rus,” but it never had what the true Rus possessed.

In Kyiv, European kings were recepted, while in Moscow, they waited for a charter from the Khan.

The daughters of our princes became queens of Europe:

Anna Yaroslavna — Queen of France.

Elizabeth — Queen of Norway and Denmark.

Anastasia — Queen of Hungary.

Agatha — wife of English prince Edward, mother of the Queen of Scotland.

These were the daughters of Yaroslav the Wise, the prince of Kyiv — not of Moscow.

Rostyslav Volodymyrovych, Yaroslav’s grandson, subdued the Western Caucasus, united the Kasogs, and founded the Galician princely dynasty.

His sons — Vasylko, Volodar, and Rurik — founded an independent principality in the Carpathians.

His descendant, Danylo of Halych, received a crown from the Pope.

Rus is not in the north. It is here. And here, its heirs — the princes of Halych, Volyn, and Kyiv — built a state, not served the Golden Horde. They did not burn Kyiv. They did not wear Khan’s charters.

We are not the “younger brother.”

Not the outskirts.

We are the center.

We are Rus.

And the history that was imposed on us — namely, the Normanist version — is a political construct of the 18th century,

created by Bayer, Müller, and Schlozer in St. Petersburg at the request of the ruling power, which had by then subjugated the lands and people of Ukraine.

But to this day, no changes have been made in how history is taught.

And it is impossible to live freely with a colonial version of history.

By now, this should be clear to everyone.

We are in a war, where they came to “liberate the Russian world” with missiles and tanks.

Our occupied cities already had an occupied history long before the arrival of foreign armies.

An independent Ukraine must cast off that colonial, imperial version of the founding of our state — Rus — or else face a cycle of wars driven by claims to a “shared history,” where attempts will be made to denazify and erase us.

History can — and must — be restored.

We are already doing it.

Together with you.
