For the Military Medical Commission, everyone is fit: MP reveals secret order

Ukrainian military medical commissions have found themselves at the center of a scandal: doctors, according to their own statements, have received clear instructions to declare all conscripts fit for service. This information was confirmed by the head of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada, Member of Parliament Hanna Skorokhod.

During a press conference, Skorokhod emphasized that military medical commission doctors openly admit to being under pressure.

“Doctors have repeatedly told us that they have been instructed that everyone must be declared fit,” said the Member of Parliament.

According to her, those who are deemed “unfit” are considered exceptions, a kind of “caste,” raising suspicions about the fairness and legality of the procedures.

First, this leads to widespread violations of the rights of conscripts. If the medical commission does not consider the actual state of health, it could pose a danger to people with chronic illnesses or injuries.

Second, it creates social tension. The declaration of “fitness” without proper medical examination causes distrust in the system, the authorities, and the state as a whole.

The public disclosure of such practices has already sparked outrage among Ukrainians, especially amid the full-scale war. The government is likely to face demands for a thorough review of the military medical commission’s activities and ensuring transparency in their work.
