Address to the people of Lviv on Ukrainian nationalism and sovereignty

The head of “Right Sector” in Lviv region responded to the disgraceful accusations made by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, who recently claimed in an interview that Russians are funding Ukrainian nationalists to destabilize Ukraine.

– A lot of good things have been said, but unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to address the residents of Lviv, as well as its guests and those who enjoy living here. I’m speaking to you now!

Dear people, respect the nation that gave you the opportunity to live on this land. Those who do not respect the host are shown the door and stripped of their privileges. I’m here to tell you—if you don’t act as true Ukrainians should, trouble will follow; if you don’t obey the law, there will be consequences. Here, in this country, in this Ukraine, on this land, only nationalists will lead. Without nationalism, there is no way forward!

This is our country, this is our land, and we will not let anyone build their own state here under the guise of a so-called “Ukraine.” Ukraine will rise as an Independent and Free Ukrainian State.

Mr. Sadovyi, my comrades advised me not to raise this issue. But may God protect you if you ever again suggest that nationalist movements or so-called paramilitary structures might be funded from Moscow’s pocket—those could be the last words you ever speak. I’m not speaking for everyone; I’m speaking for myself, as Ivan Tarasovych Smaga.
