The key mission of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region is to prevent the shelling of the Ukrainian border areas
Despite the fact that the Russians are eager to continue exerting pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces along all frontlines, they critically lack the resources to block the expansion of the bridgehead created by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk region. As a result, the enemy will be forced to redeploy forces from the Kharkiv direction to Kursk, predicted military expert, retired Navy Colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Vladyslav Seleznyov, on Ukrainian Radio. According to him, the key mission of the Ukrainian forces in the Russian territories adjacent to Ukraine is to prevent the terrorist activities of the Russian army, particularly in the form of shelling with guided bombs (KABs), mortar mines, and artillery targeting the border areas, especially the Sumy region.
How successful have these efforts been in halting attacks on the Sumy region, and what lies ahead for this direction?
The key mission entrusted to the Ukrainian military’s actions in the Kursk region, adjacent to Ukraine, is to disrupt the terrorist activities of the Russian army. Daily reports from the General Staff highlighted the enemy’s operations in the form of sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, using mortar shells, artillery rounds, and aerial bombs that regularly struck our border areas. Now, the Russians are unable to focus on this, as they are concentrating most of their resources on blocking the expansion of bridgeheads in the Kursk region. Additionally, explosions at airfields are also depriving the enemy of the resources they used to carry out such acts of aggression.
