Russia’s new offensive on Kharkiv and Sumy regions has already begun – Syrskyi

Despite negotiations mediated by the United States, Russia has been increasing the intensity of its offensives in recent weeks. Overall, Syrskyi says the situation hasn’t changed — the Russian Federation still aims to fully capture the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an interview with Lb.ua.

In the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, the Russians are trying to create a buffer zone.

President Zelensky earlier stated that Russia plans to completely push Ukrainian forces out of the Kursk direction, then strike towards Sumy, and shift its troops to Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
