Russian drones attacked Odesa: one civilian injured, infrastructure damaged

Ukraine’s air defense repelled a massive Russian drone strike on Odesa, but some destruction could not be prevented.

This was reported by Odesa Regional State Administration Head Oleh Kiper on his Telegram channel.

Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted most of the enemy targets during another large-scale assault on the regional center. Despite the defenders’ effective work, some drones managed to hit targets within the city limits.

As a result of the attack, damage to civilian infrastructure was reported. Residential buildings and a car service station were hit. The extent of the destruction is currently being assessed by the relevant authorities.

The Russian strike injured one city resident. The victim sustained a leg injury and was immediately hospitalized. Medical personnel provided all necessary assistance, and his condition is not considered life-threatening.

In addition to physical injuries, the attack caused psychological trauma among the population. According to the regional administration, nine people sought professional psychological support following the assault.

Emergency response teams in Odesa Region began cleanup operations immediately after the air raid alert was lifted. Specialists are assessing the scale of the damage and preparing a recovery plan.

Law enforcement agencies have begun documenting yet another war crime committed by Russian forces against the civilian population of the region. Investigators are recording all details of the attack for potential use in international legal proceedings.

As previously reported by “We-Ukraine,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that 178 combat engagements took place over the past day. The fiercest fighting remains concentrated along the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Kursk directions.
