Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of October 5, 2019

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of October 5, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 32 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours. The enemy actively used forbidden hard weaponry against Ukrainian troops.

(2) Russian proxies launched 18 attacks with the following types of arms in the East area:

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Verkhnyotoretske,

manual anti-tank grenade launchers – near Lebedynske, Vodyane and Maryinka,

automatic grenade launchers – near Novognativka (2 times), Bogdanivka and Novotroytske (2 times),

grenade launchers of different systems – near Avdyivka, Vodyane (4 times), Pavlopil (4 times) and Verkhnyotoretske,

small arms – near Vodyane, Novotroytske, Avdyivka, Lebedynske, Verkhnyotoretske, Maryinka and Pavlopil,

(3) Russian occupiers launched 14 attacks in the North area with the use of the following types of arms:

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Novoluhanske (4 times),

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Novoluhanske (4 times), Zaytseve and Luhanske (4 times),

APC fire – near Krymske and Novotoshkyvske,

easel anti-tank grenade launchers – near Myronivske (2 times),

manual anti-tank grenade launchers – Zolote,

grenade launchers of different systems – near Novoluhanske Novotoshkyvske and Luhanske,

small arms – near Novotoshkyvske, Krymske, Novoluhanske and Luhanske.

(4) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in actions and 2 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
