Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of March 5, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 9 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day. The enemy used tanks and forbidden artillery, mortar fire during attacks and released 108 shells and mines of 125-, 122-, 120 and 82-mm calibers upon Ukrainian troops positions.

(2) Russian proxies launched 5 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the East area:

tank – in the area of Lebedynske,

forbidden 122-mm artillery – in the area of Lebedynske, in the area of Shyrokino (2 times),

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – in the area of Lebedynske, near Vodyane (2 times),

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – in the area of the settlement of Pisky,

anti-tank missile systems – in the area of Lebedynske,

high caliber machine guns – in the area of the settlement of Pisky,

(3) Russian occupiers launched 5 attacks with the following weaponry in the North area:

forbidden 122-mm artillery – in the area od Novotoshkivske,

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Zaytseve,

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Krymske,

small arms – near Stanytsya Luhanska,

(4) Russian forces losses over the last 24 hours are as follows: 4 killed in action and 1 wounded in actions.

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action for the last 24 hours.
