Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of July 5, 2019

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 5, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces decresed to 30 the number of attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day. The enemy used forbidden heavy weaponry against Ukrainian troops in 11 cases.

(2) Russian occupiers launced 16 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the East area:

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Opytne (2 times) and Pisky,

anti-aircraft installations – near Berezove,

automatic grenade launchers – near Berezove (2 times),

easel antitank grenade launchers – near Pisky and Shyrokino,

APC – near Vodyane,

grenade launchers of different systems – near Opytne, Lebedynske (3 times), Avdyivka and Vodyane (3 times),

high caliber machine guns – near Opytne, Lebedynske, Vodyane, Maryinka (2 times), Krasnogorivka and Shyrokino,

small arms – near Opytne, Lebedynske, Berezove, Vodyane, Maryinka and Avdyivka.

(3) Russian proxies launched 14 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the North area:

forbidden 122-artillery – near Krymske (2 times) and Novotoshkivske (2 times),

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Novotoshkivske (2 times), Luhanske and Popasna,

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Krymske (2 times), Luhanske, Popasna, Novoluhanske (2 times) and Zolote-4,

anti-aircraft installations – near Novotoshkivske,

automatic grenade launchers – near Novoluhanske,

grenade launchers of different systems – near Luhanske, Pivdenne and Zolote-4,

high caliber machine guns – near Luhanske,

sniper fire – near Hutir Vilnuy,

small arms – near Luhanske and Pivdenne.

(4) Russian forces losses over the last 24 hours are as follows: 2 killed in actions and 1 wounded in actions.

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in actions and 6 servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in Euasten Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
