Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of February 9, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.




(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 9 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours, including 2 attacks with the use of forbidden weaponry.

(2) Russian occupierd fired upon Ukrainian troops positions with following weaponry in the East area:

automatic grenade launchers – in the area of the settlement of Vodyane, near Avdyivka (2 times),

greande launchers – in the area of Pavlopil,

high caliber machine guns – in the area of the settlements of Vodyane and Pavlopil, near Avdyivka,

small arms - in the area of the settlement of Vodyane and near Avdyivka,

sniper fire - near Avdyivka.

(3) Russian proxies fired with the following weaponry in the North area:

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near the settlement of Krymske (3 times),

forbidden 120-mm mortar launcher - near Hutir Vilnuy,

automatic grenade launchers – near the settlement of Krymske,

grenade launcher - near Zaytseve,

high caliber machine guns - near the settlement of Krymske,

small arms – near the settlement of Krymske and Hutir Vilnuy.

(4) Russian forces losses over the last day are as follows: 6 killed in actions and 7 wounded in actions.

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman killed in action and 2 wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian servicemen for the past day.
