Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of February 25, 2019

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of February 25, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.




(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 16 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day. The enemy used forbidden weaponry and released 285 shells and mines of 122-mm, 120-mm and 82-mm calibers.

(2) Russian proxies launched 9 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the East area:

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – in the area of Vodyane (4 times), near the village of Lebedynske (2 times),

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – in the area of Vodyane (4 times),

antitank missile system – in the area of the settlement Chermalyk,

easel antitank grenade launchers – near Pavlopil,

grenade launchers of different systems – in the area of Vodyane (4 times), near Pisky,

high caliber machine guns – in the area of Vodyane (4 times), near Pavlopil, near Pisky, and near the city of Krasnogorivka,

small arms – near the village of Lebedynske (2 times) and near Pisky.

(3) Russian forces launched 7 attacks with the us of such types of weaponry in the North area as:

forbidden 122-mm artillery – near Novozvanivka (2 times),

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Novozvanivka (2 times), near the settlement of Zolote-4, near Novooleksandrivka, in the area of Zolote-1,

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Novozvanivka (2 times), in the area of Katerynivka, near Novooleksandrivka,

infantry fighting vehicle – near Novozvanivka, in the area of Katerynivka, near Novooleksandrivka,

anti-aircraft installation ZU-23-2 – near Novozvanivka, in the area of Katerynivka,

automatic easel grenade launchers – in the area of Lobacheve,

high caliber machine guns – near Novozvanivka, in the area of Lobacheve,

small arms – near Novozvanivka.

(4) Residential area of the villages of Zolote and Novozvanivka came under Russian proxies fire. The enemy used forbidden 122-mm artillery and 120-mm mortar launchers fire and released in total 34 shells andf mines upon Ukrainian positions.

(5) Russian forces losses over the last 24rhours are as follows: 3 killed in actions and 4 wounded in actions.

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and 2 servicemen were wounded in action for the last 24 hours.
