Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of February 21, 2019

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of February 21, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 13 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last day, including 11 attacks with the use of forbidden weaponry. The enemy released 125 shells and mines of forbidden 120-mm and 82-mm calibers.

(2) Russian occupiers launched 7 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the East area:

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Lebedynske (2 times), Vodyane (2 times), Shyrokine (2 times),

automatic easel grenade launchers – near Lebedynske,

rocket-propelled grenade – near Shyrokine,

high caliber machine guns – near Lebedynske, Shyrokine.

(3) Russian forces launched 6 attacks with the following types of weaponry in the North area:

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Hutir Vilnuy (2 times),

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Novooleksandrivka (2 times), Hutir Vilnuy (2 times), near Novotoshkivske, and in the area of Katerynivka,

rocket-propelled grenade – near – near Novotoshkivske,

easel anti-tank grenade launchers – near Katerynivka,

high caliber machine guns – near Hutir Vilnuy, near Katerynivka, and near Novotoshkivske,

armored infantry weapons – near Novooleksandrivka,

grenade launchers of different systems – near Novooleksandrivka and Hutir Vilnuy,

small arms – near Hutir Vilnuy.

(4) Russian forces losses over the last day are as follows: 1 killed in actions and 2 wounded in actions.

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action for the past day.
