Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of August 23, 2019

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of August 23, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 13 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past 24 hours.

(2) Russian proxies launched 9 attacks with the following types of arms in the East area:

grenade launchers of different systems – near Vodyane (3 times) and Bohdanivka (3 times),

high caliber machine guns – near Novotroytske and Boghanivka,

manual anti-tank grenade launchers – near Novotroytske (2 times) and Lebedynske,

small arms – near Vodyane, Bohdanivka and Novotroytske.

(3) Russian proxies launched 4 attacks in the North area with the use of the following types of arms:

grenade laumchers – near Novoluhanske and Zaytseve,

manual anti-tank grenade launchers – near Novoluhanske,

high caliber machine guns – near Novoluhanske, Pivdenne and Zaytseve,

sniper fire – near Zaytseve,

small arms – near Pivdenne and Novoluhanske.

(3) 2 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian serviceman for the past day.
