Operation “Spider Web”: New satellite images show 7 aircraft damaged at the Belaya airfield

Journalists from the “Schemes” project obtained new satellite images of the Belaya airfield in Russia’s Irkutsk region. The images show damage to seven strategic aviation aircraft.

This was reported by “Schemes” on social media.

Specifically, the Planet Labs satellite images from June 4 reveal damage to at least three Tu-95 bombers and four Tu-22M3 bombers. Signs of fire damage are also visible in the photos.

Recall: On June 1, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out Operation “Spider web”, attacking Russian military airfields — Olenya, Belaya, Dyagilevo, and Ivanovo — using drones. Among the targeted aircraft were Russian A-50, Tu-95, and Tu-22M3 planes.

According to a source from the SBU speaking to Hromadske, the special forces managed to strike 41 Russian aircraft, which accounts for approximately 34% of the strategic cruise missile carriers stationed at these airfields.

Our interlocutor stated that the operation was prepared for over a year and a half. Initially, the SBU smuggled FPV drones into Russia, followed by mobile wooden houses. Drones were later concealed under the roofs of these houses. At the start of the operation, the roofs were remotely opened, allowing the drones to launch.

The source emphasized that the people involved in preparing the operation are already back in Ukraine.
