Israel has proposed transferring Russian weapons captured by the IDF in Lebanon to Ukraine

This initiative was put forward by Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharon Haskel during a meeting with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel, Yevhen Korniychuk.

“During the meeting, the Ambassador thanked his interlocutor for her proposal to transfer Russian-made weapons captured by the IDF in Lebanon or elsewhere from Israel’s enemies to Ukraine. It was noted that this initiative represents an important step in recognizing the shared threats faced by both countries. The Ukrainian side expressed hope for a positive decision on this matter,” the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel stated.

The two sides also discussed current shared challenges for both countries, particularly the military cooperation between Iran and Russia, which poses a threat to the national security of both Ukraine and Israel.
