German company Rheinmetall is building four weapons manufacturing plants in Ukraine, according to CEO Armin Papperger
He stated that the first facility has already begun operations, with a production line and a workshop for equipment maintenance in place. The first batch of 10 Lynx infantry fighting vehicles is expected to be produced by the end of the year.
Three more factories—for the production of gunpowder, ammunition, and air defense systems—are currently under construction.
“Ukraine will continue to arm itself, increasing its stockpile of ammunition and equipment, even in the event of a peaceful resolution to the conflict,” Papperger said.
