Donetsk airport updates: Cyborgs maintain full control

In its daily morning news piece the ATO news center reports that “the Donetsk airport remains the spot of highest tension” in the conflict zone.

Volunteer Tetiana Rychkova currently on the spot gives brief updates on the situation at the Donetsk airport on her Facebook page:
“The situation is stable. Our forces control the airport. High command is right at the hot spot.” The volunteer also confirms earlier reports that the Cyborgs are supported by artillery and munitions are being delivered.
Separatists asked to [temporarily] cease fire in order to take back their killed and wounded in action,” Mrs. Rychkova added. As of early morning 17 January garbage was still on fire at the airport’s terminal, the volunteer said she had fire extinguishers ready.
